ASP Philip Amara is a well known name when it comes to mini league around the Freetown municipality.
He is also the CEO and chairman for Philip FC, a formidable team from U-12, U-14 and Division 2 teams. These teams are owned and controlled by ASP Philip Amara.
In an interview with chairman ASP Philip Amara, he said the first two editions were a successful outcome as the competition have been playing between the barracks community around Kingtom. This year, the competition has been extended to other communities outside the barracks, for them to show case their talents.
He said he is looking forward for participation from these communities. The first 16 communities that register will be playing, as registration is ongoing. Closing date is 1st November 2022.
He also went further to unveil the star prize in the trophy for this year’s competition – NLE40,000: NLE25000 for the winner, and NLE15 for the runner up.
He encouraged communities not to fear for security as their safety is his first priority, because they will be around in full force.
“The stage is all set for the 3rd edition of the competition,” he said.
