The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority on Monday, 3 October 2022 exhibited some of its key newly reviewed and enhanced products on its weekly SLBC Television Programme. The objective of the exercise was to give the public the opportunity to see the new products and clearly understand their respective key features.
The exhibition, which was done by Mr Daniel Kaitibie, Acting Director of Transport, highlighted some of the major features of the new products, giving assurance that the new items cannot be faked.
The reviewed and enhanced products include Vehicle Number Plates, Vehicle Record Card, commonly known as Life Card, and Vehicle Licences
The initiative came about following a public private partnership agreement between the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority and Autospect Sierra Leone.
Members of the public expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Transport, Autospect and the SLRSA for the innovation and called for additional initiatives to enhance road safety in the country.
Other highlights in the program were a brief explanation of the functions of Road Safety Corps and role of Vehicle Examiners by Route Commander Dauda Kargbo and MrKaitibie, respectively.
