TRIAD Engineering Company has met with the executive and members of the Motor Bike Riders Union (MBRU) on the need to inform them about what they do or offer with regards building a house on a percentage scale, mortgage, rental, thrift and loan schemes and other profitable ventures.

The meeting was held at the John James Complex, Up-Gun, east end of Freetown.

Umarr Tallie Bah, President of the Union, said considering with huge constitutes is apt for TRIAD, for they have over a million registered members. He said their trade, bike riding, has given more jobs to youth than government which he claimed to be a strong revenue generation not only for them but for also those at car  washes. He said they have been scared of involving themselves into the dealings with TRIAD but the presence of the banks (UBA, SLCB…) and the Ministry of Lands gives them hope that TRIAD is genuine and different from other that had defrauded people and the State. He thus hastened to encourage his members to take advantage of the opportunity.

Amadu Sesay, Operations and Managing Director of TRIAD, asserted that their survey has proven that there is 1,300,000 persons in Sierra Leone without house. Explaining their activities, he highlighted that they mortgage houses to people by paying 30% only and the balance is paid after completion. He noted that the risk involve is 30-70 and thus, for confidence and trust in the deal, a performance bond will be ushered. He also said a 10 year warranty and insurance are given for any major damage on a building they build. However, he said the payment for building a house for persons with land, or persons without land, or with an incomplete building, depends on the inflation trend. He confirmed that they decided to meet with riders because their job is without pension and most of them are without house or anything to show after several years of work. So, he explained to them about the slot – bike riders investment scheme – which will enable them to be depositing NLe 50 a day for a certain period and the dividend will huge.

Representative of banks (United Bank of Africa and Sierra Leone Commercial Bank) assured union members and stood in as guarantors should anything happen.

Almon Sall, Brand Ambassador of TRIAD Company, said the Company does not only brag but do the work. He said they believe bike riders should be house owners. He therefore said TRIAD is genuine and ready to help them.
