Police attached to the Criminal Investigation Department in Kenema are currently investigating two suspects for stealing and damaging EDSA substation Transformer along Blama road in Kenema city.
The suspects are Sao George of 18 Harding Street Fornikoh section and Alusine Kuyateh of 16 Nyallay Street in Kenema.
Talking to the Press, the Regional Crime Officer East, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Francis Lawrence Dauda, explained that EDSA personnel attached to the EDSA office Kenema branch: Robert Goba, Patrick Lansana Goba, and Benson Kemoh assisted by D/Insp. Augustine Jonjo attached Regional CID Kenema, on Sunday 04122022 brought in the two suspects helping the police with the investigation while the copper cables are with the police as exhibits.
The premises of the two suspects were searched but nothing of police interest was found.
The police boss said government property belongs to all and sundry and that police need information from the public about anyone destroying it.
