Sierra Leone’s leading financial institution, the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB), today Thursday 7th March, 2024 announced a whooping profit before tax of Le119, 000,000,000 (One hundred and nineteen Billion Leones old notes) in 2022.

After the deduction of tax and other expenditures, SLCB hit a net profit of SLE86,063,852, 000 (Eighty-six Billion and Sixty-Three Million Eight Hundred and Fifty Two Thousand Leones) for the financial year ending 2022.

This attractive declaration was made by the Board Chairman of SLCB, Ira Nyake Amara at the 50th Annual General Meeting held today Thursday 7th March, 2024 at the bank’s Board Room, Pent House, Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown.

SLCB is no doubt, one of the most profitable financial institutions in the country with the highest number of branches and customers based in Sierra Leone.

The bank, under Yusufu Abdul SIlla’s leadership, emerges stronger having demonstrated its commitment to ethical practices and accountability.

The Government of Sierra Leone is the biggest shareholder of SLCB with the total shares of 89.19% and NASSIT 10.81% of the total shares of the bank.
