Orihuela, Spain – In a closely contested match at the Estadio Municipal, Alusine Koroma’s Orihuela were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against visiting Lerbija CF on Saturday.
The home side took an early lead through a well-taken goal by Koroma in the 23rd minute, but the visitors fought back and equalized just before halftime. Despite several chances for both teams in the second half, neither side could find a winner, resulting in the points being shared.
Koroma, Orihuela’s star striker, expressed his disappointment with the result, stating, “We had our chances to win the game but just couldn’t find that crucial second goal. It’s a frustrating outcome, but we’ll regroup and look to bounce back in our next match.”
The draw leaves Orihuela in 7th place in the league table, while Lerbija CF moves up to 11th. Both teams will be looking to gain ground on the leaders in the coming weeks as the season continues to unfold.
