Mr. President, here I am today once again, compelled to speak frankly to you and to the nation that has suffered under your rule. I say these words with a heavy heart and an unwavering demand for truth and accountability. Our country, once filled with promise and hope, now finds itself mired in deceit and broken promises. You have led us into a maze of confusion and despair, leaving the people to navigate the consequences of your actions. The promises made during election campaigns have been replaced by empty rhetoric and dubious deals that only serve to enrich those around you. Every day, ordinary citizens bear the burden of policies that favor a privileged few. It is time to confront the reality of a leadership that has strayed from its duty to serve and uplift the people. I call upon you, Mr. President, to acknowledge the damage done and to begin the long overdue process of restoring faith in our nation. Your inaction and dishonesty have eroded our trust and plunged our society into a cycle of misery and potential.
Mr. President, your involvement with the so-called MCC project stands as a stark example of your duplicitous leadership. For years, you have promised a transformative source of funding to revolutionize our nation’s electricity infrastructure, yet the reality has been far different from the grand vision you advertised. Instead of delivering progress, you have entangled our future in a web of scams and false assurances. Your wife’s celebrations, which began in 2019 following your bold claims, have now become a bitter reminder of a promise unkept. Even as revelations emerge about the dubious nature of the MCC, you continue to offer excuses and fabricate reasons to convince us that help is on its way. It is not merely a failed project but a symbol of how deceit has become a tool in your political arsenal, used to manipulate public opinion and line the pockets of those closest to you. The people deserve honesty and tangible progress, not elaborate deceptions and empty promises. Your relentless pursuit of personal gain at the expense of our nation’s welfare is unacceptable and must end now.
Mr. President, it is with deep concern that I recall your recent trip to Dar es Salaam, where you allied yourself with influential figures from the SLPP, including your so-called friend and prodigal son. There, you were seen negotiating for a share of the staggering USD$50 billion, a sum promised to power our nation with much-needed electricity. The same electricity you claimed would be enhanced by the MCC project now appears to be nothing more than a recurring promise, recycled for personal and political gain. Instead of delivering sustainable improvements to our infrastructure, you seem intent on repeating the same tactics, securing funding after funding while our communities remain in darkness. Such actions betray the trust of the people and reveal a disturbing pattern of exploiting national resources for private benefit. It is time for you to clarify your intentions and explain why every new deal only deepens the cycle of false hope and unfulfilled commitments that plague our country. Your actions must be met with transparency and accountability; the people demand genuine progress, not repetitive schemes and empty promises.
Mr. President, your recent acquisition of media houses has not gone unnoticed by those who value truth over propaganda. By controlling the flow of information, you have crafted a narrative that masks the reality of your failures and disguises your deceitful practices as progress. News outlets, once beacons of independent journalism, now echo your fabricated accounts of foreign funding and other dubious deals. These controlled messages aim to divert public attention from the shortcomings in your administration and the persistent suffering of the people. Instead of engaging in honest dialogue and offering clear plans for the future, you have resorted to buying
silence and shaping perceptions through biased reporting. The manipulation of media in this manner not only undermines the democratic process but also erodes the foundation of trust between the government and its citizens. It is high time that the media reclaim their role as the watchdogs of society, free from the influence of those who seek to distort the truth for their own benefit. True democracy demands a media untainted by politics, serving the people with unbiased reporting.
Mr. President, it is impossible to ignore the controversies that surround your family, which have only added to the disillusionment of the public. Your daughter’s marriage to Jos Leijdekkers, a man whose reputation raises serious questions, has become a symbol of the entanglement between personal interests and political power. Likewise, the actions of your press secretary, Mr. Yusuf Keketorma Sandy, along with the questionable conduct of past and present immigration officials, have fueled suspicions of corruption at the highest levels. The foundation established by your daughter, purportedly for charitable causes, appears to serve as a distraction from the larger issues plaguing our society. These connections, which many view as evidence of nepotism and cronyism, are a stark reminder that loyalty to family and personal gain seem to take precedence over genuine public service. The people deserve leaders who prioritize the nation’s well-being over familial alliances and self-serving enterprises, rather than a dynasty built on deceptive practices and questionable loyalties. It is imperative that accountability replace favoritism and that genuine reform be the cornerstone of your leadership moving forward, without delay.
Mr. President, as the weight of your actions presses upon our nation, it becomes painfully evident that the legacy you are crafting is one of suffering and disillusionment. The streets echo with the voices of citizens burdened by hardship, and the dreams of our children are dimmed by the realities of a system marred by corruption and mismanagement. Every false promise and every manipulated narrative chips away at the foundation of trust that is essential for any society to thrive. You have not only squandered opportunities to uplift our nation, but you have also inflicted deep wounds upon the collective spirit of our people. The persistent cycle of empty guarantees and self-serving deals leaves us wondering what price progress truly demands. In the face of such relentless exploitation, the call for transparency and reform grows ever louder. The people, who once believed in a brighter future, now look to you with a mixture of anger and despair, demanding that you finally take responsibility for the damage done. Our nation’s future hangs in the balance; you must act to heal our wounds.
Mr. President, our nation demands accountability, truth, and real progress. End the cycle of deceit and despair now without delay.
