Wilberforce Striker, the second-place team in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League 2024-2025 season, suffered a 2-0 defeat against Old Edwardians FC. The loss marks the end of Wilberforce Striker’s unbeaten streak, as they were outmatched by the schoolboys of Old Edwardians FC.
The match saw goals from Umaru Fofanah and Kassimu Kallon, propelling Old Edwardians FC to a well-deserved victory. The win has pushed Old Edwardians FC up to the fourth position in the league standings, with 17 points after 10 games played.
Despite the loss, Wilberforce Striker remains in second place in the league with 19 points, but their lead over the chasing pack has been reduced. The team will need to regroup and bounce back in their upcoming matches to maintain their position at the top of the table.
