Sierra Leone football fans are bidding farewell to one of their brightest talents, as East End Lions midfielder Alpha Kabia, affectionately known as “Busquets,” has departed the country for the United States. He is poised for a potential permanent transfer to Minnesota United FC in Major League Soccer (MLS).
Kabia, who has been a standout performer for the East End Lions in the Sierra Leonean Premier League, is now embarking on a new chapter in his career. The move to Minnesota United FC is seen as a significant opportunity for the young midfielder to showcase his skills on the global stage.
This is an exciting moment for Alpha and for Sierra Leonean football, said East End Lions manager Mohamed Lamin Kamara. “He has been a crucial player for us, and we are proud to see him take this step forward in his career. We wish him all the best as he joins Minnesota United FC.”
Kabia, who has been capped by the Sierra Leone Shooting Stars Team, will look to make an immediate impact in the MLS, as he aims to establish himself as a key figure in Minnesota United FC’s midfield.
