The energy in the air, the warmth, the electricity and the fun could not be hidden on Saturday night 11th October 2025 as the Sierra Leone People’s Party Georgia Chapter of SLPP North America(SLPPNA) pulled up their sleeves to celebrate, recognize hard work and of course raise funds. It was a cultural night to remember as each one came out in their glory to dance and celebrate the women and those who worked so hard to make the program a success, SLPP was certainly ‘lit’ like a festival of lights.

Elvino Desouza George, “Helmet Drive” in the Young Generation council stole the thunder with much vigor and more excitement by raising awareness and driving donations for the “Helmet Drive” fundraiser.

Membership Drive Initiative by Iye Rochester, called for continued membership and to bring in more Sierra Leoneans to join the chapter.

The night would not have been a success without the full support of the men of the SLPPNA Georgia Chapter and the planning committee and with so many others like: Mary kangoma, Alice Pessima, Nakoma Mani, Iye Rochester, Miatta Smith, Florence Lansana, Jane Sandy, Regina Swaray, Alice Jigba, Mariama Kabba, Tenneh Pettiquoi, Kadiatu Konneh, Juliana Dean who made the entire program successful.

This was a night of celebration, recommitment, and re-energizing and re-invigorating as the family of SLPP stepped on to the world stage.
