Idrissa Kargbo, a talented defender, has been making waves in the local football scene. Last season, he played for Kamboi Eagles FC, and this year, he has joined Wilberforce Strikers in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.
Kargbo, who was once a player for Freetown City FC, is now a key player of the Wilberforce Strikers squad, which currently leads the league table with 9 points. The defender is part of the national league and is hopeful that his performances will earn him a call-up to the Leone Stars national team.
Kargbo recently played for the Tree Planting Community team in the ongoing Central One Football Association Competition. Although his team was knocked out in the round of 16, Kargbo’s determination and skill on the pitch were evident, and he remains optimistic about his future.
As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Idrissa Kargbo and his Wilberforce Strikers teammates as they aim to maintain their lead in the Leone Rock Premier League.
