Freetown is set to host one of the most important national conversations of the year as the Sierra Leone Policy Conference 2025 officially kicks off today at New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown.
From December 8 to 10, government leaders, development partners, policy thinkers, private sector executives, and key national stakeholders will gather in one room for a three-day national dialogue aimed at shaping the country’s economic future.
With the theme “Financing Sierra Leone’s Sustainable Future”, the conference is expected to create the kind of energy, debate, and shared vision that the nation urgently needs as it pushes for growth, innovation, and long-term development.
Organisers have emphasised that this year’s event will go far beyond speeches.
It is designed as an inclusive, solutions-driven platform where practical ideas, actionable commitments, and cross-sector collaborations will take centre stage.
The country will be watching closely as the Honourable Chief Minister, Dr David Moinina Sengeh, delivers the highly anticipated keynote address.
His message is expected to reinforce the government’s commitment to transforming the economy through smarter resource mobilisation, modern technology and stronger, more efficient institutions.
The Policy Conference 2025 is a moment every Sierra Leonean must embrace.
A moment for reflection, for innovation and for charting a future that we can believe in.
As the countdown begins, excitement is building nationwide, with citizens, partners and observers eager to see the fresh ideas and bold commitments that will emerge.
Sierra Leone is talking, planning and preparing—and next week, the nation comes together to shape its future.
