The Chief Executive Officer of the Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA) has called on the people of Combema village, Nongowa Chiefdom in the Kenema District, to monitor the ongoing construction of a bridge project in their community.

Mohamed Kallon disclosed that work on the Show Field and Maxwell Khobe Street is also due to start as soon as possible.
He said that similar projects would be taken to other parts of the country in line with RMFA’s mandate of providing funds for the maintenance of feeder roads across the country.
He made this call during the official launching and turning of SOD to construct and rehabilitate two bridge sites at Combema community in Nongowa Chiefdom, Kenema district. He added that the turnout of the community people to grace the occasion symbolises that they all appreciate the efforts of Hon. Sahr Mathew Nyuma.

The Leader of Government Business, Hon. Sahr Mathew Nyuma, alias Crocodile, told beneficiaries of the project that, as a Member of Parliament, he would continue to solicit and support development in his district. He called on them all to own the bridge and similar projects in the district. Adding projects coming into the community is for the people, and the people must own it irrespective of tribe, religion, political party, or other factors, but as citizens of the nation.

The chief of Combema village, Mohamed Silah Gibah, praised Hon. Nyuma for being what the chief described as a true son of the soil. The Chief said that the SLPP MP is not only a household name in Kenema, but he is also a huge figure that supports the growth and development of the district. He said the activities of the Hon. and his interventions are indelible ink in the minds of citizens.
The people of Combema are hopeful that after completion of the bridges, flooding and other sufferings will be a thing of the past.
