The Ministry of Information and Civic Education has received four key reform documents from the Media Reform Coordination Group (MRCG) aimed at completely overhauling the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).
The documents, formally presented at the Minister’s Office on Tuesday, 3rd March, 2026, include a Desk Study Report, Stakeholder Consultation Report, Reform Proposal, and Indication of a Draft Policy Framework.
The Consultant, James Tamba Lebbie, outlined the findings and recommendations, highlighting the comprehensive consultation process undertaken by MRCG.
Discussions focused on refining the reform framework, with suggestions and observations made to strengthen the proposals.
Information Minister, Chernor A. Bah, expressed appreciation to MRCG for its efforts, particularly commending the consultative approach. A validation session will be held to finalize the reports leading to the submission of a consolidated final document to the Ministry.
