The chairman board of director for Sierra Leone cricket association (SLCA) Francis Trevor Samura in a press conference confirmed to the medium that the association has officially appointed Kenneth Massinga the south African International as the new head coach for the senior patriots men’s cricket team ahead of the T-20 World Cup Africa zone B qualifier which will commence from 1st-9th December. It will be played in Rwanda.

He said the Sierra Leone Cricket Team will depart Sierra Leone on November 28 and they will arrive on the next day as the team has been in high preparation for the competition.
“We are still calling on the government for support as the aim for these lads is to bring glory to Sierra Leonean.”
Jeffery was also a South African, and a former coach, he will boost the confidence of the boys who have been requesting for his recruitment.
“We are trying to develop a structure not only the senior men but all those at the bottom,”
Coach Kenneth Massinga said he is humbled to become the Sierra Leone cricket team coach.
He said he is impressed with the boys’ performance, whom he said deserves standard equipment.
