Emilia Kamara-Jengo has added a new gong to her trophy cabinet after receiving an honorary award from the University of Makeni Student Representative Council during the academic and outstanding leadership awards held over the weekend on Saturday, 12th November 2022 at the auditorium hall.
The award was received on her behalf and was honoured for her outstanding contributions in the field of civil society, female soccer, and her relentless support to the general student body, she is currently serving as the Co-Founder and Programs Coordinator of the Women’s Forum for Human Rights and Democracy (WoFHRAD) which has been empowering women including in the field of politics and played an active role for the enactment of the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Act.
She is a FIFA and CAF Match Commissioner, also the chairperson of the Verification and Movement Committee of the Women’s Premier League Board which surmounted the challenges to organise the maiden female top-tier league in the country, and recently provide financial support to Wusum Spikers Volleyball Club during the PC Koblo Queen II regional qualifiers held in Lunsar.
