Several stakeholders, philanthropists, organizations, and individuals continue to come onboard the educational train of His Excellency the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio for the nation.
Musu Lansana and her husband Michael Olusengu Adedapo are no exception in giving support to communities.
She disclosed that MICSOM is a Community Based Organization (CBO) that started its humanitarian assistance to all and sundry since 2019.
MICSOM Care Limited has a Motto: Together we hope for a better future.
She described herself as a Sierra Leonean and not a politician. She said she came from a poor background but her father took a hard stand to put her to where she has found herself today.
She called on the parents and guardians to continue supporting their children as future leaders of the nation
MICSOM as an organization is purely financed by Sommah Musu Lansana and Michael Olusengu Adedapo both based in UK. Most of the interventions is targeting vulnerable members of the Segbwema Community and its environs eg. Mentally and Physically Challenged victims, victims of teenage Pregnancy, the aged, school-going pupils with school and backpacks, schoollearning materials, food aid assistance to many during the peak of COVID 19 and Ebola scourge, wheelchairs and clutches, among others.
She explained that MICSOM as an organization is not receiving any financial assistance from any quarter but from their hard-earned salary. And that the current activities are costing $45.000.
She said their intervention is for non-profit making, and not for any political gain or on behalf of a political entity, but myself and husband has a compassionate heart for helping mankind.
One of the reasons of MICSOM continues support to Sierra Leone is to enable the founder to pay back to her community in terms of development, adding with education all is possible for the individual, the community, and the nation.
She assured the President His Excellency Retired Brigade Dr. Julius Maada Bio of MICSOM support for the free and quality education for the nation. She said one of the MICSOM educational drive programs is in line with the president’s flagship program.
A parent of three of the beneficiaries Anne Gbonie thanked MICSOM and the government for their support which she described as an indelible ink in the minds of all and sundry in the district. She called on MICSOM for more support for the Chiefdom and other chiefdoms in the district.
