Police attached to the Family Support Unit (FSU) of the police division in Kenema are currently investigating an alleged bodily harm inflicted on 27-year-old Kadiatu Jalloh of the Samai town section in Kenema city on 12th June 2022.
The father of the victim, Mohamed Jalloh, reported to the police that his daughter, Kadiatu Jalloh, had been forcefully initiated by Soweh Ngadie and four others into the secret female society in the same community, where the victim sustained injury to her vagina and was complaining of general body pain.
It was alleged that the victim, an uninitiate, went into a quarrel with an initiate woman, leading to the use of abusive language. A situation that led to the forceful initiation of the uninitiated that resulted in the involvement of the law body.
The four other women can be identified when seen.
W/Insp Nyuma B.I. of the FSU department at the police division in Kenema was the investigating officer, who was visiting the secret society bush for a statement from the society hierarchy.
The whereabouts of the victim and the police officer investigating the alleged assault were unknown.
The supreme head of the Bondo society, which is the female secret society in the district, has mounted a manhunt for the female police officer and the victim, who, according to the report, has violated the greatest society law of the land, and therefore the head of the society wants them immediately to appease the clan.
The police officer and victim, if seen by the supreme head of the Bondo society, will be arrested and killed in the Bondo bush.
