In order to complete an ongoing four-classroom building project, a lawmaker from the main opposition party, Hon. Rose Marie Bangura, donated on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, ten bundles of zinc to the management of the Bondoh Kaira Secondary School in Mabonto town, Tonkolili District, Northern Sierra Leone.
The donation was done in her Mabanoto town residence in the presence of community stakeholders from the Simiria chiefdom.
Handing over the zincs to Lawrence T. Koroma, the principal, on behalf of the school and the community, Hon. Rose Marie Bangura says the donation is part of her support for education, and she urges the school administration to continue making the community proud by upholding the standards of education.
Hon. Bangura said she learned about the erection of a four-classroom building for the senior secondary school sector of Bondoh Kaira, and on that note, she added, she thought of lending a hand for the completion of the project. Building another structure for the school, she stated, is of essence, which is why she is supporting the project until it is successful.
The ten bundles of zinc, the APC MP from Tonkolili District said, are just a start.
“I will continue supporting this project until it’s successful,” the APC MP said. She thanked all those present during the handover ceremony for avoiding other busy schedules to grace the occasion.
Koroma, the principal, expressed happiness on behalf of the school administration. The donation, he said, will boost the ongoing building construction.
The school administration, Koroma says, will forever be grateful to the APC MP for the gift.
During the ceremony, other stakeholders also made meaningful statements. The offering of special prayers for the lawmaker and her late parents climaxed the occasion.
