The atmosphere was in a happy mood on Friday morning 14/06/2024 where a special ceremony was held at the office of a National Non Governmental Organization Agency for Integrated Development Sierra Leone (AID SL) at 18 Franklyn Kanneh street, off Lamin Kosia street, IDA section in Kenema, where the staff of the office formally bid fear well to three interns that came from Universities and that have been with them for the past three month
Maada Koroma Project Manager AID-SL in his address to his audience, disclosed that AID–SL is a Non Profit making organization implementing projects in Kenema, Kono and Kailahun districts. Currently AID-SL is implementing a consortium projects with the two council’s Kailahun and Bonthe district councils in partnership with one of the Agency in the Consortium MOPADA.
AID–SL is now implementibg a 30 month EU projects titled Promoting Economic and Social Right and Empowering women and youths in the South and Eastern Regions of Sierra Leone.
The project gear towards strengthening Civil Society Organizations to support women empowerment, good governance in the two districts, support youth and women empowerment.
There is a component that brings in University students for internship to come and gain knowledge to build on there professional career, there by getting experience that will lead them to meaningful practical work related to their field of study in there career interest.
Referring to them as the second co-hot of intern to AlD–SL.The various knowledge gained will continue strengthening them in the cooperate world.
Certificate and empowerment package was presented to the intern during the ceremony. All the speakers gave warning to the intern to know what life is and what they are expected to go through in life.
