Freetown City FC has managed to secure their spot in the Sierra Leone Premier League for the upcoming season after a hard-fought goalless draw against Wilberforce Strikers.

This result was enough to lift them out of the relegation zone, ensuring their top-flight status for another year.
The match, played at the SLFA Academy, was a tense affair, with both teams battling to avoid the dreaded drop.
Freetown City FC, who had been languishing in the relegation zone for much of the season, showed remarkable resilience to grind out the crucial point they needed to survive.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Real Republicans, Kholifa Stars, and Kahula Rangers, who have all been officially relegated from the league. These teams will now have to regroup and work towards a return to the top flight in the future.
The dramatic conclusion to the season underscores the intense competition and high stakes involved in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
Freetown City FC’s ability to rise to the occasion and secure their survival will no doubt be celebrated by their loyal supporters, who will be eager to see their team build on this success in the upcoming campaign.
