The Central One Football Association (COFA) has taken its ruling regarding the quarter-final match between the Fourah Bay Community Football Team and Bambra Town. The Disciplinary Committee has taken stern actions against the Bambra Town team for clear violations of the association’s regulations.
The official decision includes the following measures:
1. Match Result: The match has been awarded to the Fourah Bay Community Football Team, with three (3) points and two (2) goals credited to their overall standings.
2. Financial Penalty: The Bambra Town Community Football Team has been fined ten thousand Leones (10,000) for their infractions.
3. Suspensions: The Bambra Town team has been suspended indefinitely from participating in all COFA-organized football competitions, until further notice.
4. Player Sanction: Alpha Conteh, wearing jersey number 3, has been suspended for one season from all COFA-organized activities.
5. Coaching Sanction: The head coach, Mr. Evera, has received an indefinite suspension from any coaching roles within COFA competitions.
These sanctions have been implemented to maintain the integrity of the sport, deter any future misconduct, and ensure a safe playing environment for all participants involved in COFA competitions.
