Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has received a significant boost in its quest for international success, as the United Arab Emirates Cricket Federation has donated a cutting-edge bowling machine to the national team. The unveiling of the machine took place on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Kingtom Cricket Oval, drawing a crowd of mesmerized cricketers.
The machine, which stands tall above human height, is capable of delivering balls at speeds exceeding 140 miles per hour. It can simulate various deliveries, including away swing, in-swing, and spin, providing the players with invaluable training opportunities.
According to CSL Board Chairman Francis Trevor Samura, the new equipment is a game-changer for the players, helping them improve their timing, sight, and overall skills. This donation comes at a crucial time as the team prepares for two successive tournaments in Lagos, Nigeria.
The state-of-the-art bowling machine is a testament to the growing support and investment in Sierra Leone’s cricket development. The CSL team is poised to enhance their international performance and make their mark on the global cricketing stage.
