17th October 2024: Abdul Hassan Koroma was declared wanted on the 16th October 2024 by the secret society for what they claimed was a bizarre defiance for rescuing his sister from the society.

We reliably learned that several raids have been conducted on his friends’ residences and people who know him across the township to get hold of him without success.

The paramount chief has been informed, and the head of the society which Abdul Hassan Koroma violated has put a ransom of NLE 10,000 for anyone who brings him.

Tired of these incessant harassments by dangerous society members, Abdul vanished into thin air, and his whereabouts are unknown.

However, Abdul’s miraculous escape has not stopped the society’s members from continuously hunting for him.

According to reliable sources from people around the township, Abdul Hassan Koroma, along with his mother, sister and younger brother, had been rebuilding their lives in Masingbi after the untimely death of their father three years ago due to a car accident. The family’s struggles increased after the loss of their father, a businessman who had supported them with his agriculture projects.

Amidst their difficulties, a government minister, Mr Dennis Sandy, entered their lives, offering help and support. Mr Sandy took an interest in Abdul’s mother, eventually falling in love with her. He also recognised Abdul’s potential and offered to sponsor his education, taking him to Masiaka to enrol him in school.

As Abdul excelled in school, tragedy struck again when Mr Sandy lost his job and could no longer support Abdul’s education.

Despite this setback, Abdul continued to excel academically, eventually earning top honours. Mr Sandy, impressed by Abdul’s achievements, took him back to his village, where a heartbreaking revelation awaited them.

Abdul’s mother, facing immense pressure from societal traditions, had passed away on the 15th of October 2024. To Abdul’s horror, the society people captured his younger sister and planned to perform a ritual on her to replace their mother. In a brave and swift action Abdul and his friends rescued his sister from the society’s clutches, destroying their shrine and escaping with her.

From that moment till now the location of Abdul and his two siblings is unknown: the societal people are still on the search for them.
