In a thrilling match at the Monjasa Park, Banana Water FC emerged victorious over Blackpool Jnr, winning by a single goal. The first half saw both teams put on an excellent display of football, creating numerous chances but failing to find the back of the net.
It was in the 65th minute that Desmond Thorpe of Banana Water FC delivered the decisive blow, netting the only goal of the match. The Communication Officer of the Murray Town Sports Committee, Reginald Sawyer, expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the competition, stating that it was not the first time they had hosted a wonderful grand final and that they would continue to do their best to ensure the growth of the game.
The event saw several individual accolades handed out, with Idrissa Sesay being named the Best Midfielder, Christopher Bangura of Oloshoroh FC as the Highest Goal Scorer with 7 goals, and Vision Star FC recognized as the Best Behaved Team. Abu Salam was awarded the title of Best Referee, while Christopher Bangura of Oloshoroh FC and Augustine Mansaray of Banana Water FC were named Best Attacker and Best Goalkeeper, respectively. Hassan Koroma of Banana Water FC was awarded Best Coach, and Amos Walker of Banana Water FC was named Best Defender. The coveted Best Player award went to Emmanuel Koroma, who had won four Man of the Match awards.
The runners-up, Blackpool Jnr, went home with eight thousand (eight million Leones), while the champions, Banana Water FC, received twelve thousand (twelve million Leones).
