Krishna Group of Companies, a beverage factory, has presented two sets of team jerseys and tracksuits to the Sierra Leone National Senior Men’s Cricket Team Men’s Patriots ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Africa Sub-Regional C Qualifier scheduled for the 21-29 November 2024, respectively, in Abuja, Nigeria.
The gesture, made by the company’s general manager, Oliver B. M. Somasa, is part of their commitment to supporting the development of cricket in Sierra Leone. “We are in Sierra Leone to contribute towards the development of the country. We are committed to our corporate social responsibility, and we look forward to doing more in the future.
This is the second time the Krishna Group has supported the CSL senior men’s side, having previously provided assistance during the Nigeria bilateral series and the Kigali ICC men’s T20 cricket World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifier in 2021.
The Sierra Leone Cricket Board Chairman, Francis Trevor Samura, this is the second time they are supporting us, and this will boost us, especially when we are financially constrained.
The players, too, are thrilled with the support. Abu Bakar Kamara, one of the team members, said, “The kits will surely motivate us for our upcoming competition and help us bring laurels for Sierra Leone.”
As the team prepares for the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers, the new jerseys and tracksuits will undoubtedly provide a morale boost and help the players perform at their best.
