A national non-governmental organization, AID-SL, operating in the Kailahun District, Eastern Region, with support from the European Union, has ended a three-day dialogue session on policies and laws affecting youth, gender equality, and women’s rights in major towns across the Kailahun District.
The aim of the session is to enable the active participation of youth, youth organizations, women, and women’s organizations in the decision-making process at all levels.
The project manager, Mr. Maada M. Koroma, disclosed that the engagement will create better understanding of youth and women’s rights by various local authorities and stakeholders concerned. This provides opportunities for youth and women’s rights protection and fulfillment.
The action is implemented jointly by MOPADA-SL in the Bonthe district in collaboration with the local district councils.
