District Executive of the All People’s Congress party in Tonkolili has on Saturday December 7th 2024 received a delegation of the party’s National leadership in the Northern town of Magburaka.

The national leadership of the party was in Tonkolili to engage the entire membership in the District to discuss crucial matters regarding the future of the party, foster unity among members and to further strengthen the commitment of each and every member.

The meeting took place inside the main Hall  of the Tonkolili District office of the APC Party along Bo road.

The National Executive of the All Peoples Congress led by the National Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray was cheerfully received by a mammoth of party supporters and members in all wards and Constituencies across Tonkolili District.

The visit marks a key moment for the APC as it pushes towards strengthening its presence in all regions and Districts, with local party members and supporters eagerly welcoming the leadership and its recent agenda which mainly focuses on preparing a formidable team that will take the party again inside the corridors of power and State House.

In his remarkable address to APC supporters in Magburaka town, the National Secretary General of the All Peoples Congress, Lansana Dumbuya Esq, refutes misleading social media rumours targeting the leadership of the party by a section of bloggers.

Lawyer Dumbuya provided a comprehensive analysis on the outcome of the tripartite dialogue, highlighting the significance of its recommendations for the future of the party.

He further extended his appreciation to the former President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, acknowledging his substantial contributions to the country. He reminded Party supporters and leaders at grassroot level to remain focus and united.

Welcoming the party leadership in the District, Dr. Samuel Bangura expressed appreciation for what he said is the bold step taken by the party’s national leadership. Dr Bangura, whose leadership many grassroot supporters say had yielded positive impacts since he took over, is the Chairman of the APC party in Tonkolili District.

Tonkolili District, Bangura said is ready to do whatever that will make the APC a formidable party for all elections in future. He urges the supporters in Tonkolili to respect the structures of the party. The leadership, he stated is one of the structures of the APC and must be respected by everyone within the party.

Hon. Aaron Koroma, a Member of Parliament from the District  expressed appreciation to the executive of the APC party for their visit to Tonkolili.

Hon. Koroma further urged those present to remain united and vigilant, calling for prayers against individuals who are truly betraying the party.

He specifically mentioned the role of APC Members of Parliament in fighting for the 2023 elections.

Hon. Aron also pointed out the role of the APC leadership in the tripartite committee, which he said was undermined by Dr. Samura Kamara.

During the meeting, the leadership refuted the many rumours and skepticism being circulated on social media, urging members and supporters not to be distracted. The peace and reconciliation tour ended with pledges and assurance of taking the message to the grassroot supporters across all wards, Chiefdoms and Constituencies across the District.
