The National Olympic Committee/Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone (NOC-SL) has appointed Ahmed Khanou as its Acting Secretary General for a period of six months. Khanou, a seasoned sports administrator, will bring a wealth of experience and leadership.
Khanou, who previously served as the Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Federation and currently holds the position of President, will bring his expertise to the NOC-SLE during this interim period. The Executive Board of the organization will reassess and decide on a potential permanent appointment after the six-month term.
The former Minister of Sports in the Ministry of Sports, Khanou, is highly respected within the Sierra Leonean sports community. His appointment as the Acting Secretary General of the NOC-SLE has been widely anticipated, as his vast experience in the field is expected to provide valuable guidance during this transitional phase.
The Sierra Leonean sports enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting to see the impact that Khanou will have on the operations and development of the National Olympic Committee and the Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone.
