Sierra Leone’s representation at the prestigious Miss World 2025 pageant in India, the organizers of the Miss Sierra Leone pageant have announced an accelerated timeline for this year’s competition.

The official launch of Miss Sierra Leone 2025 took place on April 5th in Hamilton, with Board Member Janneh Amara Bangali presiding over the event. Bangali emphasized the exceptional circumstances surrounding this year’s pageant, noting that the Miss World 2025 competition is scheduled from May 7th to 21st in India.
This development means we must accelerate our timeline, compressing what would typically be a six-month process from auditions to coronation into just a few weeks. Every element has been carefully restructured to maintain quality while respecting the tight schedule.

Pageant Coordinator Benjamin H. Thomas expressed his excitement at the challenge, stating, “In just a few weeks, we have mobilized our team, conducted a nationwide tour, and engaged in an intensive screening process to select the most promising and passionate young women across Sierra Leone.”
The contestants will undergo rigorous training workshops focused on self-confidence, brand ambassadorship, teamwork, leadership, media appearances, and in-house competitions. The coronation night is set for April 28th at the prestigious Freetown International Conference Center, where the new Miss Sierra Leone will be crowned and prepared to depart for India on May 6th to represent the country at the Miss World 2025 competition.

Miss Sierra Leone 2023, Daizy Abdulai, shared her experience, stating, Miss Sierra Leone is a life-changing experience that has shaped me and the way I carry myself wherever I go. I am proud of all the contestants, and I encourage them to seize the opportunities that await, whether they win the crown or not.”
