Sierra Leone’s National Senior Women’s Team, the Sierra Queens, have officially kicked off their training camp ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone A Women’s Tournament in Mauritania. The team, made up of both local and international players, is currently engaged in rigorous preparations for the prestigious regional competition.
The Sierra Queens will be looking to make a strong impression on the continental stage as they aim to secure victory in the WAFU tournament. The training camp provides the players with the opportunity to fine-tune their skills, build team chemistry, and develop the tactical strategies necessary to challenge for the coveted trophy.
Head Hassan Malik Mansaray expressed his confidence in the squad, stating the Sierra Queens are determined to put in a stellar performance and make the nation proud at the WAFU Women’s Tournament. The training camp has been crucial in ensuring the team is well-prepared and ready to compete at the highest level.
The tournament, scheduled to take place in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania later this month, will see the Sierra Queens pitted against some of the top women’s teams in the West African region.
