In a surprising signing, veteran striker Kei Kamara joins the club at the age of 40. The seasoned forward has agreed to a contract lasting until the end of the 2025 season, with an option for 2026.
Kamara, who has been representing the Leone Stars in several international competitions, brings a wealth of experience to the FC Cincinnati squad. Known for his physical presence and goal-scoring prowess, the Sierra Leonean striker is expected to provide a valuable addition to the team’s attacking lineup.
The move comes as a bit of a shock to football fans, as Kamara’s age might raise some eyebrows. However, the club’s management is confident in the player’s ability to contribute significantly to their ongoing campaign.
We are thrilled to welcome Kei Kamara to our team, said FC Cincinnati’s head coach, Patrick John Noonan. His experience, skill, and passion for the game will be invaluable as we strive to achieve our goals this season. We believe he still has plenty to offer, and we’re excited to see him in action.
