Momoh Ibrahim Kamara, the captain of Sierra Leone’s Shooting Stars, has won the Golden Boot award at the recently concluded U-20 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
The young midfielder scored a total of four goals during the group stage, cementing his position as one of the tournament’s top performers. His impressive performance included a hat trick against the host nation, Egypt, and an additional goal against South Africa.
Despite Kamara’s prolific scoring, Sierra Leone was unable to advance to the semifinals of the competition. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old’s individual achievement serves as a testament to his exceptional talent and the potential he possesses.
The Shooting Stars captain’s accomplishment is a source of pride for Sierra Leone and a promising sign for the future of the country’s football.
