The National Olympic Committee Sierra Leone (NOC-SL) has praised the Senior Women’s Cricket Team for their outstanding performance and exemplary conduct at the recent Kalahari Women’s T20 Tournament in Gaborone, Botswana.
The Sierra Leone Women’s Cricket Team, led by Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) Chairman Francis Trevor Samura, Head Coach Sinneh Kamara, and Foreign Cricket Consultant John Capps-Jenner, presented the championship trophy and individual awards to the NOC-SL at Walpole Street in Freetown.
The team’s victory and the numerous individual accolades they received mark a significant milestone for Sierra Leonean sports on the international stage. The success has also led to an increase in the team’s ICC Women T20 global ranking, with Sierra Leone now ranked 34th, up from 47th before the tournament.
NOC-SL President Prince Vandy Sualley congratulated the team, commending them not only for their achievements but also for their exemplary conduct as ambassadors for the country. He praised the team’s commitment and dedication, which have brought great honor to Sierra Leone.
The Sierra Leone Cricket Board’s leadership expressed their gratitude for the support and guidance provided by the NOC-SL, which has played a crucial role in the team’s development and success. This partnership between the two organizations has been instrumental in the growth of cricket in Sierra Leone.
