A parent, Musu Lahai, witnessed the closing ceremony of a privately run summer school that was hosted at Eastern School’s Kenema campus for the past month along Combema Road in Kenema.

Hundreds of school pupils from primary to senior secondary school, parents and other stakeholders in the city graced the ceremony.
Musu Lahai disclosed that her daughter is one of the beneficiaries of the educational support done by Saffa Koroma, the brain behind the entire programme.

During the season she offered special prayers for Saffa Koroma and his team for their brilliant support for the community, which she described as a move in the right direction in the educational sector.

She called on the government and other organisations to give support to the educational programme so that more children in the community will continue to benefit.

Michael Yambasu, the section chief, thanked God for giving Saffa Koroma to the community, describing him as indelible ink in the community due to his community interventions.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Coalition Against Drug Abuse and Community Transformation Sierra Leone (CADACT-SL), who also doubles as the brain behind the educational programme, Saffa Koroma, thanked all and sundry for gracing the occasion and called on the parents and guardians to continue supporting their children as future leaders of the nation.

He assured all of their continued monitoring of the first batch of the children that they have on their database.
I am not only giving support to education, but we are also in agriculture too.

Price-giving to deserving pupils climaxes the ceremony.
