The All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer hopeful, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, has donated Le500 million to support the ongoing construction of the party’s district office in Kono.
Dr. Bangura made the donation during a visit to the APC National Headquarters in Freetown on Thursday. He said the support was part of a promise he made earlier to the Kono District Executive to help strengthen the party’s presence in the district.

The donation was handed over to the APC National Secretary-General, Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., who will present it to the Kono District Executive.
Dr. Bangura praised the people of Kono, especially women, for their loyalty and hard work for the party. He called on all party members to remain united and work together for the development of Kono and the country.
He also announced plans to extend similar support to Port Loko and Kambia districts as part of his efforts to build strong party structures nationwide.
Dr. Bangura urged other APC members and stakeholders to work through the party’s official structures and promote unity, discipline, and teamwork ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He ended by encouraging citizens to support national efforts to end the growing kush drug crisis in Sierra Leone.
