Star Sport Academy Unveils 5 Fresh Talents Ahead of the 2025/26 Season

By Joseph S. Conteh

Star Sport Academy, one of 18 teams in the Sierra Leone Premier League, have unveiled a flurry of new signings as they gear up for the 2025/26 season.

The club had acquired five talented players, adding depth and versatility to their squad.

Among the notable additions is Osman Kamara, a right-back hailing from AIK Kallon and a former Old Edwardians player, who joins on a five-year deal until 2030. Charles Williams, a former Sierra Leone U-17 left-back, arrives on a two-year loan from FREDO with an option to buy.

Bolstering the defence, James Smith, a centre-back formerly with Bhantal FC and East End Tigers, has signed a three-year permanent deal with the club.

In the midfield, Joseph Cassim Kargbo, an attacking midfielder from Kholifa FC, has joined the ranks of Star Sport Academy. Completing the signings, Aboubacar Tambassa, also from Kholifa FC, has been brought in as a forward.

These five new additions are part of a larger recruitment drive, with the club securing a total of 13 new signings ahead of the upcoming season.

The team’s management is confident that these fresh talents will contribute significantly to the club’s quest for success in the Leone Rock Premier League.
