Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, in a Facebook post on Saturday, 8th November 2025, applauded the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Chairman, Babadi Kamara, for his continued efforts to advance football in Sierra Leone.
He praised the SLFA leadership’s commitment to building a stronger football culture that empowers both male and female athletes across the country.
VP Juldeh Jalloh particularly highlighted the recent $150,000 support from Marampa Mines Limited to the Women’s Premier League, describing it as a major boost for women’s football. MML is engaged in the exploration, development, and production of high-grade iron ore concentrate at Marampa in the Port Loko District, North-Western Region.
He noted that such an investment reflected growing confidence in Sierra Leone’s sports sector and the country’s potential to nurture talent at all levels.
The Vice President also extended his appreciation to Craig Dean, Executive Chairman and CEO of Gerald Group, the owner and operator of Marampa Mines, and to Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay-Pessima, Chairperson of the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board, for their collaborative efforts at promoting gender equality and sports development.
VP Juldeh Jalloh reaffirmed his government’s commitment to creating opportunities that would elevate Sierra Leonean football both locally and internationally.
