The announcement was made in a public statement on 15 November 2025, with the Guild promising a stronger, more organised leadership dedicated to improving Sierra Leone’s film industry.

Guild Assures Public of Strong Leadership

In the statement, the PGSL said the new executive members bring years of experience and are committed to supporting filmmakers and promoting growth in the industry.

The Guild said the team will work to provide mentorship, training, guidance and welfare support for registered producers. It also said the executives will help strengthen corporate partnerships and promote international best practices in filmmaking.

The Producers Guild is under the Sierra Leone Film Guild, the official trade union for film professionals in the country.
The Guild encouraged filmmakers to work together to grow the industry and improve creativity and production standards.
