Federation International Basketball (FIBA) has selected Sierra Leone Basketball Federation (SLBF) to host this year’s National Youth Camp. The event is scheduled to take place from November 19–23, 2025, in Sierra Leone.
This landmark decision by FIBA underscores the unwavering commitment of SLBF President Alie Hijazi to elevating Sierra Leone’s basketball profile in the global arena. The hosting of the National Youth Camp not only highlights SLBF’s growing influence within the FIBA Africa network but also reinforces the federation’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of Sierra Leonean basketball talents.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our country and our young athletes,” said President Hijazi. “We are honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of hosting this prestigious FIBA event, and we are committed to making it a resounding success.”
The National Youth Camp will bring together aspiring basketball players from across Sierra Leone, providing them with world-class training, mentorship, and exposure to the international game.
