President Julius Maada Bio has reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to good governance, peace, and multilateral cooperation during the 7th AU-EU Summit held in Luanda.
Addressing African and European leaders, President Bio stressed that the partnership between the two continents must be grounded in mutual respect and shared responsibility, especially at a time he described as critical for both Africa and the wider world.
He highlighted Sierra Leone’s leadership roles—serving as Chairman of ECOWAS and President of the United Nations Security Council for November—positioning the country to play a central role in regional stability and global peace efforts.
President Bio expressed confidence that through stronger cooperation, Africa and Europe can tackle rising insecurity, promote sustainable development, and create opportunities that benefit citizens on both continents.
