A major public education campaign is underway as UNDP partners with the Tripartite Steering Committee Secretariat to popularize key electoral legislative amendments recommended by the Cross-Party Committee.
The sensitization drive, currently taking place across districts, is engaging political actors, traditional authorities, civil society groups, women’s leaders, youth movements, and disability organizations. The outreach aims to strengthen transparency and build national confidence in the Tripartite process.
Organizers say these engagements are crucial for ensuring inclusive participation and helping citizens better understand the reforms shaping Sierra Leone’s future elections.
Stakeholders have praised the initiative, noting that broad community involvement is vital for trust, accountability, and democratic growth.
UNDP says it will continue supporting the process to ensure that the reforms are widely known, accessible, and understood at all levels of society.
