The United States has announced a new review of green cards issued to people from 19 countries described as “countries of concern.” Sierra Leone is one of the nations affected by this order.
The decision was confirmed by Joe Edlow, Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). He said that, on the instructions of President Donald Trump, a full and strict reexamination will be carried out on every green card issued to citizens from these countries.
The list includes countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Haiti, and Sierra Leone. This move is part of a wider immigration review the Trump administration says is aimed at tightening security and preventing threats.
