Freetown, April 13, 2026: A resident of Bo, Kargbo, has become the first person in the history of Mercury International to correctly predict all five winning numbers in the lottery. The unprecedented achievement was celebrated at a special presentation held at the company’s head office in Krootown Road, Freetown.
According to Michael E. Martin, the Managing Director of Mercury International, Kargbo’s win is a testament to the unpredictability of the lottery. “Typically, we advise people to play two or three numbers, as it is extremely difficult to predict all five correctly,” he said. “But Kargbo has proven us wrong, and we congratulate him on this remarkable feat.”
Urged the winner to invest the money wisely rather than squandering it.
Kargbo, who played a mere 2,000 old Leones, walked away with a staggering 200 million old Leones before taxes, leaving him with a net payout of 170 million old Leones.
“Mercury is real, and you can win if you have the luck”, said the lucky winner Kargbo. “If you believe in the numbers and have patience, you too can strike it big like I did.
