Sierra Leonean international footballer and Blackburn Rovers winger Augustus Kargbo, who also serves as the Benefit Mankind Sierra Leone ambassador, has officially commissioned a brand-new orphanage home at the Lumpa Community in Waterloo.
This project was designed to provide sustainable care, life-changing opportunities, and immense hope to vulnerable children within the community.
Abdul Rashid Kamara, manager of Benefit Mankind Orphanage Sierra Leone, expressed gratitude to Allah for connecting them with the right people who made this achievement possible.
Ambassador Augustus Kargbo shared his happiness at being part of the organisation, describing the event as a success.
He emphasised his belief in giving back to the community, a value he learned from his mother. Kargbo hopes to be remembered not only as a footballer but also as someone who has transformed lives.
During the event, he also distributed welfare items and football kits to the orphanage children, brightening their day with both support and joy.
