Sierra Leonean singer Boii has been recognised by Audiomack Africa as one of the “10 Rising Women in Afrosounds You Need to Know.”
The popular music streaming platform shared the list on its social media platforms, highlighting female artists across Africa who are making a strong impact in the Afrosounds music scene. Boii was included among nine other rising women artists from different African countries.
Audiomack Africa listed Boii alongside nine other emerging female artists from across the continent. The artists named in the list include Inès Raguël, Njerae, Boii, Somadina, Starr Healer, Kemji, VEOLA, Tsuni, Cnethemba Gonelo, and Amaeya. According to Audiomack, these women are part of a new wave of talent shaping the Afrosounds movement and gaining attention from music fans across Africa and beyond.
Boii, whose real name is Boimanya Martha Fahnbulleh Koroma, is a fast-rising Afro-fusion singer from Freetown, Sierra Leone. She is signed to Cribs International and has gained attention with songs that blend Afrobeats and R&B sounds.
The young singer started developing her passion for music at an early age and later performed in school competitions and talent shows before launching her professional career.
Her breakthrough single “Credit Alert” helped introduce her to a wider audience in Sierra Leone and beyond, with the song gaining strong streaming numbers online.
