The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has commenced the second phase of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) C Diploma Coaching Course at the Association’s Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown.
This course is part of ongoing efforts by the SLFA to strengthen the technical capacity and improve the standard of football coaching across the country.
The programme brings together aspiring and active coaches from different regions who will undergo intensive theoretical and practical training in modern coaching methodologies.
Participants will gain foundational knowledge in player development, match preparation, tactical understanding, and modern coaching principles aligned with CAF standards.
SLFA Technical Director John Edward Keister highlighted that the coaching course represents another milestone achievement of the Babadi Kamara-led Executive in its commitment to building a strong technical base for the future of Sierra Leone football.
The CAF C Diploma Coaching Course is expected to run for several more days, after which successful participants will be awarded CAF-recognised coaching diplomas, further enhancing their expertise and contributing to the development of football in Sierra Leone.
