The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has terminated the contract of head coach Mohamed Kallon. According to the SLFA Secretary General, Mohamed Benson Bayoh, the decision was made for several reasons.
Firstly, the SLFA had asked all coaches to produce their certificates, but Kallon failed to meet the deadline.
Bayoh also stated that Kallon’s claim of attending a refresher course was not correct.
Secondly, Bayoh revealed that Kallon had failed to attend the mandatory pre- and post-match conferences during the league competitions.
This was a clear violation of the SLFA’s policies and expectations for its coaches.
The termination of Kallon’s contract comes as a blow to the national team, as he had been in charge since 2025.
The SLFA is now tasked with finding a replacement who can meet the association’s standards and lead the team to success in upcoming competitions.
