Daniel Kanu, a 21-year-old striker on loan at Walsall, has been nominated for the EFL League Two Young Player of the Season award.
Kanu has been a standout performer for the Saddlers this season, netting 15 goals and providing two assists.
“Daniel has done really well during his loan spell, stepping into a new environment and consistently performing, which is reflected in his goals,” said Individual Development Coach Dave Huzzey. “His attitude and willingness to learn have been excellent, and this nomination is fully deserved.”
Kanu’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, as he was also named EA Sports FC Young Player of the Month for September.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 19th.
