In the opening leg, Sierra Leone’s U-17 Women’s National Team held Ivory Coast to a goalless draw in their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier. The two sides will now meet again on April 17, 2026, for the decisive return leg in Ivory Coast.
In the first leg, played on April 11, 2026, both teams battled hard but were unable to find the breakthrough.
Sierra Leone’s defence stood firm; they denied Ivory Coast’s attacking efforts, while the visitors also had their moments going forward.
The result leaves the tie evenly poised heading into the return fixture in Ivory Coast. The winner of this two-legged affair will advance to the next round, where they will face the winner of the tie between Burkina Faso and Benin.
Sierra Leone’s U-17 girls will be aiming to secure their place in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with a strong performance in the second leg.
On the other hand, the Ivory Coast will be determined to make home advantage count and book their ticket to the prestigious tournament.
